Johan Lindeberg returns to Fashion Week Stockholm SS17 with a presentation of a communication concept called The Bridge Series.
Describe your design in three words.
“Chic, sharp and modern attitude.”
What’s your style philosophy?
“I like to design to women I admire.”
Is there a symbol that would represent you?
“The peace symbol.”
Where did the initial concept for your brand come from?
“I wanted to create a lifestyle that reflected the life I wanted to live.”
Going forward, what direction will the brand take?
“We want to dress people who want to change the world. To create clothes for modern people and entrepreneurs. Our focus will be on the combination of fashion and sports.”
Who would you invite to your dream dinner party?
“I would like to invite great artist from the creative communities in Iran, Israel, Palestine, Mexico, USA. I believe in the idea to bring creative people together beyond politics, religion and borders and do projects together.”
Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
“I like the words surrender and freedom and I use them all the time. But I believe I still underuse them rather than overuse them considering how the world looks right now.”
Who are your style icons?
“I like Yoko Ono and John Lennon and Angela Davis. They combined style with a vision of freedom. For designers I love Alia and Yves Saint Laurent.”
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
“I always knew I wanted to work with something where I could create energy and inspire people.”
Which book changed your life?
“When I read William Kooning, An American Master, it had a big influence on my personal creative search process.”
What is your guiltiest pleasure?
“Dark chocolate with goji berries.”
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
“Being a devoted father.”
