NEWCOMERS TO FASHION WEEK STOCKHOLM

For the first time RMH is participating in Fashion Week Stockholm, with SPACE by rmh, an alternative show space at Scenkonstmuseet. Six street wear designers will show, together with Off-White’s founder and creative director Virgil Abloh and creator Heron Preston as part of the initiative.

Fashion Talks x Creative Mornings is visited by costumer designer of Girls, Jenn Rogien and co-founder of Vestiaire Collective, Fanny Moizant, as key note speakers.

The Stockholm based creators RMH have introduced Scandinavia to artists Silvana Imam, Erik Lundin, Cherrie, Michel Dida, Adam Tensta and Leslie Tay. SPACE by rmh unites this collective of artists with a selection of creators at Scenkonstmuseet. Interactive presentations and shows will take place, directed by the participating designers this is Sweden, Tafari Gold, STAI, Official Gallery, Hi On Life and Die Monde.

SPACE by rmh takes place on Monday through Tuesday, and will be open for the public on both days.

This season the members only club Alma will host Fashion Talks x Creative Mornings. Alma is a place where creators meet for social interaction and professional development, in an international environment dedicated to design, created in collaboration with architects Tham & Videgård.

On Monday 30 January, Fashion Talks x Creative Mornings will be hosted by Emmy nominated costume designer Jenn Rogien. Rogien is known for her work with the acclaimed TV-series Girls and Orange Is the New Black. During the last decade, Rogien has become a leading professional within her line of work, and collaborated with brands such as American Eagle and Sorrel. Rogien will speak about the process of creating fashion for film and TV, and how it affects a designer’s mind.

On Tuesday 31 January, the cofounder of luxury online marketplace Vestiaire Collective and fashion entrepreneur Fanny Moizant will take to the stage at Alma. Vestiaire Collective has over five million members in 47 countries worldwide. They sell a curated selection of clothes and accessories, with 25 000 new products available every week. In 2016, Forbes listed Moizant as a major player in the luxury industry, combining women leadership with a strong vision for the future of the fashion industry.

The Fashion Talks x Creative Mornings begin at 08:00, and take place at Alma, Nybrogatan 8. Registration for Creative Mornings is open for everyone on creativemornings.com

This year, the Jewelry & Accessory Lounge is at Stockholm’s Auktionsverk on Tuesday 31 January. The press viewing is at 12:00-14:00, and then opens for the public at 15:00-18:00. Brands showing at the Lounge include Swedish Fashion Talents: Baumgarten di Marco, Bow Label and KSV Jewelry, together with Reschia, Jemima Hargreaves and SabinaKasper.
