On Sunday January 21 Fashion Week Stockholm returns to its official arena Grand Hôtel. During three days Swedish designers and fashion labels will show their AW18 collections. With Stockholm being the natural destination for design and creativity, Filippa K has decided to return to the Swedish catwalk, with a show at Nordiska Galleriet. This is also the brand’s first collection under the lead of Filippa Knutsson, founder and board member, who became creative director earlier this year.

Beckmans College of Design opens Fashion Week Stockholm in Grand Hôtel’s Spegelsal, and among other brands Emelie Janrell, Ida Sjöstedt and STAND, who also introduces menswear this time, will be showing at the official arena. More mixed shows this season includes Whyred, Filippa K and Hope. A debutant for this season is Johannes Adele, the winner of Swedish Fashion Talents 2017. Swedish Fashion Talents as a platform for new designers that introduces new interesting brands, such as Rave Review and Per Götesson.

The brands set for the official schedule of AW18 are Beckmans College of Design, Busnel, Daily Routine, Emelie Janrell, Filippa K, Hope, House of Dagmar, Ida Sjöstedt, Johannes Adele, Naim Josefi, Newhouse, Rodebjer, STAND, Stylein, Swedish Fashion Talents, Totême and Whyred. The Jewel and Accessory Lounge is held at Auktionsverket on Tuesday January 23. Apart from the scheduled fashion shows, there will be other events and arrangements going on during Fashion Week Stockholm.

As a part of Fashion Week, Bea Åkerlund presents her collaboration with Ikea with an installation. Bea will also host one of the Fashion Talks x Creative Mornings and Woolmark presents a talk about sustainable business models in the fashion industry.

During Fashion Week Stockholm Grand Hôtel makes Bolinderska Palatset and Spegelsalen including Strömsalongerna and Vapensalen available for Swedish designers to host shows, presentation and seminares. The Rutabaga Restaurant under the lead of chef Mattias Dahlgren will be hosting separate breakfast, lunch and dinner events. As for last season, Brand Experience Scandinavia (BES) continues as co arranger. We are also happy to present our new partner for 2018, Italian car brand Alfa Romeo. Other partners include American Express, Grand Hôtel and Redbull.
