Monday, August 29 marks the opening of Fashion Week Stockholm, where we celebrate Swedish fashion and design. This season the Swedish brand Rodebjer returns to the runway for the first time in five years and will present their upcoming spring collection as well as engage in Fashion Night on August 31.
“It feels so right to show Spring Summer 2017 here in Stockholm, on the basis of our new store and women’s palace on Norrmalmstorg in Bibliotekstan. I look forward to once again be a part of Fashion Week Stockholm after five years in New York, “says Carin Rodebjer, Founder and Creative Director at Rodebjer.
Fashion Week SS17 is dominated by eclectic presentations and impressions from Swedish designers, brands, consumer activities and events. Three Fashion Talks will be held with topics such as different creative industries and their interaction, art in the context of fashion and how the government support the fashion industry.
With XperienceGroup as new co-organizer and several new partners to the Stockholm Fashion Week, the week is given a new, strong foundation. Being a platform for the growth of Swedish fashion, Stockholm Fashion Week has decided to watch the regrowth of Swedish fashion this season, and therefore puts young talent, design students and designers in focus.
“With Fashion Week Stockholm, we want to highlight Sweden’s strongest creative fashion industries and merge the amazing creativity and innovation that the fashion industry possesses. This week is a platform for our Swedish fashion companies to communicate their brands, collections and news for opinion-makers, buyers and the public. This season we have developed the Fashion Week Stockholm by involving and supporting the new generation of designers, that we are excited to present this August, “says Emma Ohlson, general secretary of the Association of Swedish Fashion Brands (ASFB), co-organizer of Fashion Week.
Partners for Fashion Week Stockholm is Mall of Scandinavia, American Express, Berns, SAS, LG and Peugeot.
