L’HOMME ROUGE started as an undefined project, a gathering of people with a confluent passion for design, society and art. Over time, unwrapping from it’s cocoon, this project transcended into having a deeper purpose. L’HOMME ROUGE, the red man, is a reminder to live life and do so to the fullest.
COLLECTION AW17 STOMPERS
Stompers is inspired by an alienated group of young Swedish harbour workers. In a time of rebellion this group of social outcasts created a voice for themselves through provocative expression of re-worked luxury clothing they found in misplaced shipping containers. These shameless expression and the group’s do it yourself mentality inspired a whole generation to break free and manifest their discontent.

COLLECTION AW16 BLIND DIMENSIONS / SS17 THE GARDEN GROUP
L’HOMME ROUGE will present both the autumn 2016 and spring/summer 2017 collections. The AW16 collection is called “Blind Dimensions” in which the selected subject is blindness. Designer
Jonatan Härngren has been playing with the abstract perceptions of the blind. “The Garden Group” is the name of the SS17 collection. The collection has its roots in the green movement in the Swedish 70’s. Inspiration comes from Swedish allmoge and gardening.

L’HOMME ROUGE is a Swedish contemporary fashion brand established in 2013. It started as an undefined project by four students at Lund University in Sweden and Copenhagen Royal School of Arts in Denmark. The purpose grew evident as their search for ways to express themselves and the mutual interest for design, culture and art came together. L’HOMME ROUGE – “the red person” – became a reminder to unconditionally challenge yourself and always follow your inner driving force.
The label presents thoughtful, rule breaking and story telling design. The narratives are the corner stones when realizing the ambition to defy conventional and conservative menswear norms.
2017/2018 L’HOMME ROUGE was awarded the European Woolmark Prize, underlined as one of the new faces of global faces by Interview Magazine as well as named brand of the year by prestigious Swedish department store Nordiska Kompaniet.
