Sunday 29 January marks the opening of Fashion Week Stockholm AW17 where Swedish fashion and design is celebrated during the course of three days, from Sunday 29 January until Tuesday 31 January. Up and coming designers includes LazoSchmidl, Emelie Janrell, Naim Josefi and the week also marks the return of Hope, Hunkydory and Velour.

The AW 2017 Fashion Week Stockholm will amongst others showcase designer Emelie Janrell, the creator of global pop star Tove Lo’s highly publicized uterus dress, and men’s brand and artist collective LazoSchmidl. J. Lindeberg, are due to show creative directors Johan Lindeberg’s collection since his return and finally Hope will show for the first time under head designer Frida Bard direction.

“We are constantly striving to develop Fashion Week in Stockholm, and to be able to present new visions, trends, and creations each season thanks to participating brands. This reaffirms our stance as the most creative industry in Sweden. This season we are so happy to see great and new talents participating from the likes of Beckmans and Swedish Fashion Talents, as well as receiving a strong international press support” says Emma Ohlson, Secretary General of the Association of Swedish Fashion Brands (ASFB), co-organizer of Fashion Week Stockholm.

Other brands ready to present their autumn collection includes ATP Atelier, Beckmans, Busnel, Daisy Grace, Emelie Janrell, Hope, House of Dagmar, Hunkydory, Ida Klamborn, Ida Sjöstedt, J.Lindeberg, L’Homme Rouge, LazoSchmidl , Marville, Naim Josefi, Rodebjer, Stylein, Swedish Fashion Talents, Valerie, Velour and Whyred.

In addition to the brands’ runway shows and presentations, additional events and happenings are organized by Fashion Week, these include Fashion Talks, Bon Futur Talk and Creative Mornings.

Berns and Kulturhuset Stadsteatern are the official arenas.
